Charity Fund Raiser Event

Fund raising night at Formby Hall 27^th November 2010. Featuring Liverpool’s top session band The Fabulous Weekend Warriors together with special guests The Passionettes, playing the music of rock n roll “Knights“ Sir Elton John and Sir Paul McCartney.

A magnificent total of £1325.00 was raised in 20 minutes by Everton Legend and England international Mr Joe Royle, from the raffle and auction, for the benefit of “The Ponseti Clinic, based at Manchester’s new Children’s Hospital. Joe has gladly given his time on many occasions to help raise money for Ponseti".

The Ponseti Clinic method is a manipulative technique that corrects congenital clubfoot without invasive surgery. Developed in the USA in the 50’s and adopted by the UK in the late 90’s. Clubfoot, (talipes) affects almost 150,000 children annually.

The band have been arranging two fund raising nights per year for the last 10 years, using the venues of Briars Hall and Formby Hall respectively.

 Sound Affects generous donations for the auction, since they have been based at their new premises, have been greatly appreciated.
